Sustainable design meets natural fire protection
Located in Dublin’s Point Village, The Glasshouse Bar is a rooftop venue known for its stylish design and botanical interior. To achieve both aesthetic appeal and fire safety, the project team selected natural materials – including reclaimed timber – and opted for a non-toxic fire-retardant treatment.
The cladding used in the project is Reclaimed Scots Pine, chosen for its unique character and environmentally conscious profile. It was treated with Burnblock®, a natural fire-retardant that preserves the look and feel of the wood while adding vital fire protection.
The timber was supplied and treated by HALT, official Burnblock® partner in Ireland. The treatment ensures deep penetration and long-term performance without the need for reapplication.
The project was completed for clients Pure Fitout and NolaClan, companies known for delivering high-end hospitality experiences.
