Paint
for outside use
Wood + Burnblock® + Paint = min. B-s2,d0 Certified
A big percentage of wood for exterior use is painted. That layer on top of fire retardant treated wood challenges its fireproof properties. Tests performed by an independent institute has proven, that Softwood and Thermowood impregnated with Burnblock® and industrially painted, as minimum lives up to fire class B-s2,d0.
This also means that it is possible for our partners to offer this as a CE certified solution.
Minimum B-s2,d0 is achieved with specific paints from:

Vintage coating
for outside use
Wood + Burnblock® + vintage coating = min. B-s2,d0 Certified
Instead of waiting for the natural patina of wood to occur, it is possible to give it a vintage look that “grays” its surface. The vintage finish creates transparent or semi-transparent film for decoration.
Coating on top of fire retardant treated wood challenges its fireproof properties. Recent tests performed by an independent institute has proven, that Softwood and Thermowood impregnated with Burnblock® and industrially coated with a vintage coating, as minimum lives up to fire class B-s2,d0.
This also means that it is possible for our partners to offer this as a CE certified solution.

Paint / Transparent paint
for inside use
Interior wood + Burnblock® + Paint = B-s1,d0 Certified
Wood for interior use requires a coating solution to give character, to make the surface more dirt repellent, and easier to clean. The layer on top of fire retardant treated wood challenges its fireproof properties. Softwood impregnated with Burnblock® and industrially coated lives up to fire class B-s1,d0. The coating can be colorful or colorless. From black to full transparent.
This also means that it is possible for our partners to offer this as a CE certified solution.

Lacquer
for inside use
Wood impregnated with Burnblock® and a lacquer = B-s1,d0
The lacquer is a finishing for Burnblock treated materials. Fully certified fire-retardant treatment is only possible when using the two-component LW-121/45/BB lacquer in connection with Burnblock® treated pine plywood. The lacquer is fire neutral and as of such not contributing to the development of fire.
The solution is available in gloss 5, 10, 30 and 50. The varnish is colorless, but can be added a white pigment to achieve a white tinting. The lacquer can be applied with a roller, brush or sprayed on.
