Pressure impregnation
Pressure Impregnation is perfect for suppliers and industrial manufacturers of building materials. Burnblock® is a non-toxic, water-based product, which makes it very easy to handle and extremely flexible to use in a wide variety of materials and manufacturing processes.
Plywood
It is difficult to imagine modern construction without the use of plywood, which thanks to Burnblock® fire retardant impregnation can achieve a fire resistance class of B-s1;d0. We can find them in schools, hotels, stadiums, theaters, hospitals, shopping malls and airports all over the world. Fire resistant plywood is also a valued material and eagerly used in transport.
MDF
MDF (medium-density fibreboard) boards are a wood-based material that successfully replaces natural wood. The material has a homogeneous density and raw material composition throughout the entire cross-section. It provides exceptionally good machinability parameters while maintaining dimensional stability. Thanks to the Burnblock® fire retardant impregnation, they can achieve a fire resistance class of B-s1;d0.
Coatings
A big percentage of wood for exterior use is painted or vintage coated. That layer on top of fire retardant treated wood challenges its fireproof properties. Tests performed by an independent institute has proven that Softwood and Thermowood impregnated with Burnblock® and industrially painted or coated with vintage coating as minimum lives up to fire class B-s2,d0.
Natural fibers
Burnblock has developed a unique high concentrate fire-retardant for industrial application. The industrial application is typically applied in a flow process or batch production. During the process fibres/plants are turned into building materials like boards, matts and different types of insulation and acoustic solutions.
