Board of Directors


Burnblock®, the supplier of natural and non-toxic fire retardant solutions for wood and natural fiber products, has appointed four non-executive members to its board, as the company ramps up its plans for growth in international markets. Henrik Lyngbye Pedersen continues as Board Chair.

The new board members, Annette Otto, Mark Renouf, Stig W. Jensen, and Torben Kjær, who have all previously served on Burnblock’s advisory board, bring a diverse set of experience and skills needed to help drive the company’s ambitious growth agenda.

Torben Kjær

Torben Kjær is an experienced business leader with a strong track record of delivering business value, digital transformation, innovation and leadership within large international companies. He was awarded ”CIO of the year 2017”. He is also an active Board Member in fast scaling tech companies.


Mark Renouf

Mark Renouf is a former BBC journalist and founder of Acadia Communication as well as an International Consultant for the Danish communications agency, Oxymoron Communications. Before coming to Denmark in 2014, Mark was a partner in Canada’s largest public relations firm, NATIONAL Public Relations. Mark brings with him broad international experience across numerous sectors in strategic communication, media relations, crisis and issues management, government relations and leadership coaching and training.

Annette Otto

Annette Otto is a very experienced HR leader and has shown strong performance on executive boards in different industries. Annette – was awarded the “DANSK HR’s HR Prize 2019”. On top she is an active board member, both in start-ups and more mature companies.


Stig W. Jensen

Experienced leader who has held a number of senior positions with production companies internationally. Stig’s approach has helped drive performance in numerous industries by implementing strategies and best-practice initiatives that focus on integrating employees by building respect and trust across departments and locations, creating an open and transparent environment that improves business results significantly. Stig is also an active board member in other companies.
