Located in the picturesque beach town of Søndervig on Jutland’s west coast, the MENY Søndervig project showcases the beauty and functionality of wood as a facade material. Designed by Bay Arch Architects, the store’s facade combines Nordic warmth, quality, and climate awareness, making it a standout example of sustainable design.
The facade features Nordisk Profil A/S’s Woodfac Panel system, crafted from thermo pine lamellas. This carefully designed system includes precise framing around the windows, ensuring a clean and cohesive aesthetic. Treated with Burnblock fire retardant, the wood achieves both fire safety and durability, underscoring its suitability for modern commercial buildings.
This project highlights how natural materials like wood can enhance architectural identity while addressing environmental considerations.
