How it works?

Burnblock is a highly effective and non-toxic fire retardant. Burnblock consists of purely natural ingredients combined in a patented formula. Burnblock effectively prevents oxygen from reaching the treated object – and without oxygen: no fire.

Burnblock is completely harmless and even in case the substance should make contact with the human eye, it will be no more harmful than fruit juice (ref. made to the health assessment).

Sustainability

From the natural choice to the fully sustainable fire retardant solution for wooden and other water absorbing materials.

Burnblock® has raised the bar for sustainability in the industry. The Cradle to Cradle certification broadens the company’s commitment beyond material health, safety and the environment, but also how consume water and energy and our commitment to social justice.

Durability

Western Red Cedar impregnated with Burnblock receives BS EN 16755:2017 classification for internal and external use (INT1, INT2 and EXT).

BS EN16755:2017 – The standard defines a classification system for verifying the durability of the fire protection of fire retardant-treated wood products for indoor and outdoor use. The standard defines three DRF (Durability of Reaction to Fire Performance) classes that describe the durability of fire protection.
